Abstract

This is an experimental study that aims to: (1) describe the value of students' narrative essay writing skills learned through traditional learning models; (2) describe the value of students' narrative essay writing skills learned through the Mind Mapping model; and (3) determine the effect of the Mind Mapping model on the narrative essay writing skills of seventh grade students at SMP 11 Kota Jambi. This study was carried out at Jambi City, Class VII, 11th. The sampling technique used in this study is the Simple Random Sampling Technique, which yielded 44 samples. Test methodologies and the usage of student performance instruments were employed to obtain data in this study. The information gathered was then evaluated using descriptive statistics.
