Abstract
The objectives of the research were to determine the effect of metals alkalis in Ni-charcoal catalyst on the conversion of gasoline in catalytic cracking of CPO using Cr-charcoal catalyst. Metals content were determined by using AAS method, produced liquid fuel were analysed by GC-MS. The variation of alkalis metal concentration was added to Ni-charcoal based on the catalyst’s total weight. The alkalis Ni-charcoal catalysts were used for catalytic cracking of CPO. Potassium level of 0,5%-1,5% in Cr-charcoal decreased gasoline conversion from 12.255% to 8.5% whereas Lithium level decreased gasoline conversion except at addition of Lithium of 1.5% increased a conversion of gasoline to 3.25%. The significant effect occurred when Lithium was added to the catalyst at 0.5% in which gasoline conversion was increased to 120.4%.
