Abstract

Kata Kunci: efikasi diri, persepsi tentang profesi guru, minat menjadi guru ekonomi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara: (1) Efikasi diri terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi, (2) Persepsi tentang profesi guru terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi, (3) Efikasi diri dan persepsi tentang profesi guru terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi. Peneitian ini dilakukan di Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi angkatan 2018 (sebagai data utama) sebanyak 61 orang. Setelah angket di kembalikan, kemudian data dianalisis secara kuantitatif yaitu menggunakan analisi deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji homogenitas, uji multikolioneritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji autokorelasi, analisis regresi linear berganda, uji parsial (uji t), uji simultan (uji F) dan uji koefisien determinasi simultan (R2). Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif efikasi diri terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi dilihat pada nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 4,102 > 1,67109, (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif persepsi tentang profesi guru terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi dilihat pada nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 6,076 > 1,67109, dan (3) Terdapat pengaruh efikasi diri dan persepsi tentang profesi guru terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel yaitu 24,160 > 3,15 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,465 yang berarti kontribusi efikasi diri dan persepsi tentang profesi guru terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi sebesar 45,4% sedangkan sisanya 54,6% dipengaruhi oleh variable lain yang tidak dijelaskan pada penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa efikasi diri dan persepsi tentang profesi guru secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap minat menjadi guru ekonomi pada mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi angkatan 2018 FKIP Universitas Jambi. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar mahasiswa yang sudah memilih jurusan kependidikan khususnya prodi pendidikan ekonomi hendaknya memiliki keyakinan diri untuk dapat menjadi guru agar mahasiswa prodi pendidikan ekonomi memiliki semangat dalam belajar dan jika lulus akan menjadi seorang guru di bidang mata pelajaran ekonomi. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga hendaknya meningkatkan persepsi nya bahwa profesi guru adalah pekerjaan yang mulia yang dapat menyalurkan ilmu pengetahuan kepada orang lain. ABSTRACT Natasa. 2022. Keywords: self-efficacy, perception of the teaching profession, interest in becoming an economics teacher This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between: (1) Self-efficacy towards interest in becoming an economics teacher, (2) Perception of the teaching profession towards interest in becoming an economics teacher, (3) Self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession towards interest in becoming an economics teacher. This research was conducted at the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP Jambi University. This research was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 61 students of economic education class 2018 (as the main data). After the questionnaire was returned, then the data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive analysis, normality test, linearity test, homogeneity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, multiple linear regression analysis, partial test (t test), simultaneous test (F test). ) and the simultaneous determination coefficient test (R2). Based on the results obtained indicate that: (1) There is a positive effect of self-efficacy on the interest in becoming an economics teacher seen in the value of tcount > ttable i.e. 4.102 > 1.67109, (2) There is a positive influence of perceptions about the teaching profession on the interest in becoming an economics teacher seen in the value of tcount > ttable is 6.076 > 1.67109, and (3) There is an effect of self-efficacy and perception of the teaching profession on the interest in becoming an economics teacher as indicated by the value of Fcount > Ftable which is 24.160 > 3.15 and the coefficient of determination (R2) is equal to 0.465 which means that the contribution of self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession to the interest in becoming an economics teacher is 45.4% while the remaining 54.6% is influenced by other variables not explained in this study. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession together have a positive effect on interest in becoming an economics teacher in economic education students class 2018 FKIP Jambi University. From the results of this study, it is suggested that students who have chosen education majors, especially economic education study programs, should have the confidence to become teachers so that students of economic education study programs have a passion for learning and if they pass they will become teachers in economics subjects. In addition, students should also increase their perception that the teaching profession is a noble job that can transmit knowledge to others.
