Abstract
HUBUNGAN ORIENTASI MASA DEPAN DENGAN KESIAPAN KERJA PADA LULUSAN EKONOMI PEMBANGUNAN TAHUN 2021 FAKULTAS EKONOMI DAN BISNIS UNIVERSITAS JAMBI ¹Benyamin Junaedy,²Verdiantika Annisa,³Dessy Pramudiani ¹Program Studi Psikologi, Universitas Jambi/benyamintobink1999@gmail.com ²Program Studi Psikologi, Universitas Jambi/verdiantikaannisa.va@gmail.com ³Program Studi Psikologi, Universitas Jambi/dessy_psychology@ymail.com ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Di masa sekarang banyak perusahaan mencari fresh graduate yang mempunyai kompetensi yang mumpuni mulai dari kemampuan, pengetahuan hingga etika kepribadian seperti etika kerja dan tanggung jawab. Maka dari itu lulusan diharapkan sudah mempersiapkan dirinya sedari dini untuk siap bersaing di dunia kerja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan orientasi masa depan dengan kesiapan kerja pada lulusan ekonomi pembangunan tahun 2021 fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis Universitas Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah lulusan program studi ekonomi pembangunan tahun 2021 Universitas Jambi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan total 83 lulusan. Skala orientasi masa depan dan kesiapan kerja disebarkan secara online melalui google form. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi spearmen. Hasil: Hubungan orientasi masa depan dengan kesiapan kerja pada lulusan ekonomi pembangunan tahun 2021 fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis Universitas Jambi menghasilkan korelasi positif signifikan dengan nilai r 0,766 serta p value < 0,05. Yang mempunyai arti ketika orientasi masa depannya tinggi berarti kesiapan kerjanya juga tinggi demikian juga sebaliknya. Kesimpulan dan Saran: Orientasi masa depan memiliki hubungan positif dengan kesiapan kerja. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan kepada semua pihak terutama mahasiswa yang akan lulus (fresh graduate) mempunyai kompetensi yang diharapkan oleh perusahaan perusahaan agar bisa bersaing di dunia kerja. Therefore, graduates are expected to have prepared themselves from an early age to be ready to compete in the work world. Aim: This study aims to determine the correlation between future orientation and job readiness for graduates of development economics program study of Economics and Business Faculty in Jambi University during the year 2021. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population of this research is the graduates of the development economics study program at Jambi University in 2021. Purposive sampling method is used with a total of 83 graduates. Future orientation Scale and Job Readiness Scale are distributed online via Google Form. Data analysis technique using Spearman correlation. Results: The correlation between future orientation and work readiness for graduates of development economics of Economics and Business Faculty in Jambi University during the year 2021, resulted in a significant positive correlation with an r value of 0.766 and a p value < 0.05. Which means that when the future orientation is high, it means that work readiness is also high and vice versa. Conclusion and Suggestions: Future orientation has a positive relationship with job readiness. Therefore, it is hoped that all parties, especially students who will graduate (fresh graduates) have the competencies expected by companies so that they can compete in the world of work.
