Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning activities in schools with less effective lesson time and limited learning media used can affect the effectiveness in learning and cause material presented less than optimal delivered to students. Based on preliminary observations conducted at SMA N 5 Kota Jambi students stated that for lesson time in school is less so that the material presented by the teacher is not optimal, especially for Biology subjects on Invertebrate materials, especially Arthropoda and Mollusca. Therefore, the development of learning media in the form of a website needs to be done. The purpose of this study is to produce products in the form of a web-based learning media and to determine the response of students and teachers to the use of the website as a medium of learning on Arthropoda and Mollusca materials. This research is a development research. The development model applied in this research is the ADDIE model. Stages passed in this research include the stage of Analysis, Design, Development, Impementasi and Evaluation. Instruments in this study are questionnaires used during expert validation and field testing. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis by analyzing the questionnaire data and interpreting the score qualitatively. From the results of the research note that in developing the media, researchers have followed the research flow based on the ADDIE development model. While based on the validation result, the media has been declared feasible to be tested in the field after going through 3 stages of media validation with percentage of 69.3% and 4 stages of material validation with 95% percentage. Student response in small group test has the overall score percentage of 84.8% with the criterion "very good" while in the large group test obtained 91.65% and the criteria "very good". The teacher's response in the field of study has a percentage score of 90.67% and "very good" criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the product of website-based learning media on the material Arthropoda and Mollusca included in the criteria very well, so that students can use in learning activities, to understand more about the material Arthropoda and Mollusca.
