Abstract

ABSTRAK Lestary, Ayu Diah. 2022. Kode-kode Narasi Semiotika Roland Barthes dalam Novel Dari Jendela SMP Karya Mira Widjaja. Skripsi, Program Studi Sastra Indonesia, FKIP Universitas Jambi, Pembimbing (I) Dr. Dra. Warni, M.Hum., (II) Sovia Wulandari, S.S., M.Pd. Kata Kunci: Kode-kode Narasi, Semiotika Roland Barthes, Novel. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis dan makna kode-kode narasi semiotika Roland Barthes dalam novel Dari Jendela SMP(DJS) karya Mira Widjaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Data penenelitian berupa leksia yang terdapat dalam novel DJS karya Mira Widjaja. Sumber data yang digunakan novel DJS karya Mira Widjaja yang diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, cetakan ketiga belas yang terbit pada tahun 2009. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa novel DJS ditemukan kelima kode narasi semiotika Roland Barthes yang juga mengandung beberapa unsur-unsur intrinsik, yaitu: (1) kode hermeneutik berupa teka-teki yang berbentuk pertanyaan dan jawaban teka-teki, (2) kode semik berupa metafora dan konotasi dari latar, tokoh dan penokohan, (3) kode simbolik berupa penyimbolan pada narasi dan tema cerita, (4) kode proaretik berupa runtutan alur dengan rangkaian aksian dan akibat aksian, (5) kode gnomik berupa wujud kebudayaan yang berbentuk gagasan, mitos, etika, tradisi, dan bahasa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah novel DJS karya Mira Widjaja memiliki jenis kode narasi semiotika Roland Barthes yaitu: (1) kode hermeneutik berupa pertanyaan dan jawaban teka-teki, (2) kode semik berupa metafora dan konotasi latar, tokoh dan penokohan, (3) kode simbolik berupa penyimbolan narasi dan tema cerita, (4) kode proaretik berupa runtutan alur dengan rangkaian aksian dan akibat aksian, (5) kode gnomik berupa gagasan, mitos, etika, tradisi, dan bahasa. Makna kode narasi semiotika Roland Barthes dalam novel DJS yaitu: (1) kode hermeneutik menandakan kerahasian tokoh orang tua Joko, Roni, ayah Gino, dan Bu Narti, (2) kode semik menandakan menandakan tokoh dan penokohan Joko, Wulan, Roni, Lili, Satrio dan Suryo, (3) kode simbolik menyimbolkan narasi dan tema utam cerita tentang pergaulan anak SMP dengan seks, (4) kode proaretik menandakan aksian hubungan gelap Pak Prapto dan Ibu Joko berujung pada masa depan Joko yang suram, hubungan Joko dan Wulan mengakibatkan seks bebas, (5) kode gnomik menandakan bahwa gagasan atau pemikiran para tokoh orang yang menganggap seks adalah hal yang tabu sehingga membuat mitos mengenai seks, tokoh Ayah Wulan yang sangat memperhatikan etika sopan santun dari teman-teman Wulan, dan tokoh anak SMP yang terpengaruh dengan tradisi dan budaya asing dalam pergaulan sehari-hari. Keywords: Narrative Codes, Roland Barthes Semiotics, Novel. This study aims to describe the types and meanings of Roland Barthes' semiotic narrative codes in Mira Widjaja's novel Dari Jendela SMP(DJS) by Mira Widjaja. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the type of literature study. Research data in the form of lexia contained in the novel DJS by Mira Widjaja. The data source used was the novel DJS by Mira Widjaja published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, the thirteenth edition published in 2009. The results showed that the DJS novel found the five semiotic narrative codes of Roland Barthes which also contained several intrinsic elements, namely: (1) hermeneutic code in the form of puzzles in the form of questions and answers to puzzles, (2) semitic codes in the form of metaphors and connotations of setting, characters and characterizations, (3) symbolic code in the form of symbolizing the narrative and theme of the story, (4) proaretic code in the form of a sequence of plots with a series of actions and consequences of action, (5) gnomic code in the form of cultural manifestations in the form of ideas, myths, ethics, traditions, and language. The conclusion of this research is that the DJS novel by Mira Widjaja has the type of narrative code of Roland Barthes' semiotics, namely: (1) hermeneutic code in the form of questions and answers to puzzles, (2) semitic code in the form of metaphors and connotations of setting, characters and characterizations, (3) symbolic code in the form of symbolizing narrative and story themes, (4) proaretic code in the form of a sequence of plots with a series of actions and consequences of actions, (5) gnomic codes in the form of ideas, myths, ethics, traditions, and language. The meanings of Roland Barthes' semiotic narrative code in the DJS novel are: (1) the hermeneutic code indicates the secrecy of Joko's parents, Roni, Gino's father, and Mrs. Narti, (2) the semitic code indicates the character and characterizations of Joko, Wulan, Roni, Lili, Satrio and Suryo, (3) the symbolic code symbolizes the narration and the main theme of the story about the association of junior high school students with sex, (4) the pro-aretic code indicates that Pak Prapto and Mrs. Joko's illicit relationship actions lead to Joko's bleak future, Joko and Wulan's relationship results in sex. free, (5) the gnomic code indicates that the ideas or thoughts of the characters of people who consider sex is a taboo thing that creates myths about sex, the character of Ayah Wulan who pays great attention to the ethics of courtesy from Wulan's friends, and the character of a junior high school student who is influenced by foreign traditions and cultures in everyday life.
