Abstract
This study aims to reveal and measure the influence of peers on the activeness of students' learning in junior high school N 17 jambi city. The sample in this study were students of grades VIII and IX in junior high school N 17 cities jambi school year 2021/2022. This type of research is an expo facto with a population of all students of class VIII and IX in Junior High School N 17 Jambi City. The sample in the study was 244 respondents. Sample withdrawal using stratified random sampling. Data collection tool uses a questionnaire or kuosioner with a likert scale model with 5 alternative answers. Then this study processed the data using formula C percentage formula and data analysis technique using simple regression formulas. The results showed that the activeness of learning students in junior high school N 17 jambi city can be categorized as high with a percentage amount of 65.7%, and peers in junior high school N 17 jambi city can also be categorized as high with a percentage amount of 75.5%. The significant value in asimotic is at 0.000 (<0.05) which is between peer variables (X) affects the variable (Y), and for the R square result on these two variables 0.114 is represented to 11.4%.
