Abstract

Effect of Loading Method on Productivity of Loading Equipment at PT RAPP Estate Baserah (Zaini Ahmad D1D221008 under the guidance of Ir. Albayudi, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM.) The final stage of harvesting activities in HTI mineral areas is loading the wood onto the conveyance. The activity of loading wood onto the conveyance can be carried out in certain ways and tools that can have a direct effect on the productivity of the equipment. Several methods of loading a conveyance or truck need to be considered because they may affect the productivity of the loading equipment. This case study aims to determine the effect of loading on productivity of loading equipment at PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper Estate Baserah. This case study research was carried out for approximately 1 month in March-April 2022 located in the work area of PT RAPP Estate Baserah with a survey method which was analyzed descriptively quantitatively by determining the sample by purposive sampling. The results of the case study reveal that loading method A has higher productivity than loading method B, both on the Pc D320 and Pc 313D2 loading tools, with the productivity of loading A Pc D320 93.78 m/hour and Pc 313D2 58.81 m³/hour, for loading method B. Pc D320 65.74 m/Hour and Pc 313D2 47.75 m³/Hour. From these results, the loading method will greatly affect the productivity of the loading tool. So it can be concluded that the loading method will affect the productivity of the loading tool with the A Pc D320 method having a difference of 28.04 m/hour greater than the loading method B on the same tool, and the Pc 313D2 having a difference of 11.06 m³/hour more than the A mat method. compared to loading method B.
