Abstract
ABSTRACT Panjaitan, Samuel Hamonangan. 2018. Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa dengan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Team Achievement Division Pada Pelajaran IPA kelas V SD Negeri 80/I KM 3 Muara Bulian. Yantoro, M.Pd., Advisor (II) Ahmad Hariandi, S.Pd.i, M.Ag Keywords: Motivasi Belajar, Pelajaran IPA, Model STAD Based on observations made by researchers in class V in SD Negeri 80/1 KM 3 Muara Bulian. Researchers see when teachers explain the material, students rarely put forward the idea and ask the learning process takes place. Although there are active students it is only part of them. While students who are not active in learning, they do separate activities such as telling stories to other friends, drowsy, like out-of-class with a variety of reasons and there are also complained to the teacher for no reason, one alternative teachers to improve student learning motivation is by applying a model of learning that is STAD model. Expected by applying STAD model can improve students' motivation especially in subjects of Natural Science (IPA). The purpose of this study is to determine the application of STAD model (Student Team Achievement Division) can improve students' learning motivation in science subjects of class V SD Negeri 80/1 KM 3 Muara Bulian. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subject and place of research are the students of class V SD Negeri 80/1 KM 3 Muara Bulian with the number of 21 students. In accordance with the achievement of the purpose of this study was conducted in 2 cycles. The data in the research obtained from the observation and documentation. Data analysis was done descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The result of this research shows the increase of learning motivation seen in the first cycle of meeting 1 equal to 66,46%, meeting II equal to 72,61% and increase in cycle II Meeting 1 equal to 74,20% meeting to II equal to 83,23% interest. Teachers have also used STAD learning model (Student Team Achiement Division) in the learning that has been planned so as to increase student learning interest. Based on the observations in cycle II, this research has been said to be successful because it has reached the criteria specified. So it can be concluded the use of STAD learning model (Student Team Achievement Division) can improve the motivation of students in grade V SD Negeri 80/1 KM 3 Muara Bulian.
