Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1.) Mengetahui Motivasi Petani Terhadap Peralihan Profesi Petani Padi Sawah Menjadi Pembudidaya Ikan Patin di Desa Kota Karang Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu. 2.) Mengetahui Tingkat Peralihan Profesi Petani Padi Sawah Menjadi Pembudidaya Ikan Patin di Desa Kota Karang Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu. 3.) Menganalisis Hubungan Antara Motivasi Petani Terhadap Peralihan Profesi Petani Padi Sawah Menjadi Pembudidaya Ikan Patin di Desa Kota Karang Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu. Penentuan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja (Purpossive). Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Simple Random Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 sampel. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kota Karang. Data yang dibutuhkan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara survei dan observasi. Objek penelitian adalah petani yang sudah melaksanakan kegiatan peralihan profesi di Desa tersebut. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan tabulasi frekuensi dan persentase, baik data motivasi maupun data peralihan profesi. Motivasi petani terhadap peralihan profesi petani padi sawah menjadi pembudiaya ikan patin di desa kota karang kecamatan kumpeh ulu tergolong tinggi yaitu sebesar 82%. Peralihan profesi di Desa Kota Karang Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu tergolong tinggi dengan persentase 70%. Hasil analisis Chi Square terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara motivasi petani dengan beralihnya profesi petani padi sawah menjadi pembudidya ikan patin, dan terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara motivasi petani sebagai existence, relatedness dan growth terhadap beralihnya profesi petani padi sawah menjadi pembudidaya ikan patin. Knowing the motivation of farmers towards the professional shift of rice paddy farmers to become catfish cultivators in Kota Karang Village, Kumpeh Ulu District. 2.) Knowing the Professional Change of Rice Paddy Farmers to Catfish Cultivators in Kota Karang Village, Kumpeh Ulu District. 3.) Analyzing the Relationship Between Farmer's Motivation on the Professional Switching of Rice Paddy Farmers to Catfish Cultivators in Kota Karang Village, Kumpeh Ulu District. Determination of the location is done intentionally (purposive). The sampling method used in this study is Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 60 samples. The research was conducted in Karang City Village. The data needed are primary data and secondary data. The data collection method used is survey and observation. The object of research is farmers who have carried out professional transition activities in the village. The data obtained from the research results were analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage tabulations, both motivational data and professional transition data. The motivation of farmers to shift the profession of rice farmers to catfish cultivators in the village of Kota Karang, Kumpeh Ulu sub-district is quite high, at 82%. The transition of professions in Kota Karang Village, Kumpeh Ulu District is relatively high with a percentage of 70%. The results of Chi Square analysis show that there is a significant relationship between the motivation of farmers and the shift of the profession of lowland rice farmers to catfish cultivators, and there is a significant relationship between the motivation of farmers as existence, relatedness and growth to the shift of the profession of lowland rice farmers to catfish cultivators.
