Abstract

Dissertation Title : Analysis of Sharia Motivation, Internal Control and Organizational Forms of Performance to Achieve Accountability with Environmental Uncertainty as a Moderation Variable in Zakat Management Organizations in Jambi Province Author : Mufidah Promoter : Prof. Dr. Amri Amir SE.MS Co Promoter : Dr. Achmad Hizazi SE.M.Com Ak.Ca Dr. Enggar Diah Puspa Arum SE.M.Si.Ak.CA ABSTRACT This study examined the influence of sharia motivation for internal control and organizational forms on the performance of non-profit organizations with environmental uncertainty as a moderation variable to achieve accountability of zakat management organizations. The newness of this research comes from the discovery of new indicators for Sharia motivation and the combination of Sharia maqashid theory, Contingency theory,Stewardship theory, and Islamic perspective motivation. Accountability in BAZNAS in Jambi Province is still relatively low because there are only one district and one municipality that has WTP audit reports, Sharia audit reports, and periodic reporting publications. In addition, with the influence of the covid pandemic, several Organization many have increased performance but also many have decreased. Therefore, it is necessary to look again at how the factors that affect its performance and accountability are seen from internal and external factors. The study analyzed 90 observations from 20 zakat organizations in Jambi Province using secondary data and primary data sources. SEM-PLS is a technique for conducting moderation analysis. Sharia motivation and internal control have an influence on the performance of the organization but the form of the organization does not affect performance. Meanwhile, environmental uncertainty has no effect as a moderation variable. Kebaharuan penelitian ini berasal dari penemuan indikator baru untuk motivasi syariah dan pengabungan teori maqashid syariah, teori kontingensi, teori stewardship dan motivasi perspektif Islam. Akuntabilitas pada BAZNAS di Provinsi Jambi masih tergolong rendah oleh karena hanya ada satu kabupaten dan satu kotamadya yang mempunyai laporan audit WTP, laporan audit syariah dan publikasi pelaporan secara berkala. Selain itu dengan adanya pengaruh pandemi covid ini beberapa organisasi banyak yang memperolah kenaikan kinerja namun juga banyak yang mengalami penurunan. Oleh karena itu perlu dilihat kembali bagaimana faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja dan akuntabilitasnya dilihat dari faktor internal dan eksternalnya. Penelitian ini menganalisis 90 pengamatan dari 20 organisasi zakat di Provinsi Jambi menggunakan data sekunder dan sumber data primer. SEM-PLS adalah teknik untuk melakukan analisis moderasi. Motivasi syariah dan pengendalian internal memiliki pengaruh pada kinerja organisasi namun bentuk organisasi tidak mempengaruhi kinerja. Sementara, ketidakpastian lingkungan tidak berpengaruh sebagai variabel moderasi. Pengendalian internal memberikan pengaruh yang kuat terhadap akuntabilitas organisasi pengelola zakat dan kinerja organisasi mempengaruhi akuntabilitas organisasi pengelola zakat Kata Kunci: Motivasi Syariah, Ketidakpastian Lingkungan, Kinerja, Akuntabilitas
