Abstract
Background : Coronavirus disease or COVID-19 has been declared by WHO or World Health Organization as a pandemic on march 11, 2020. The increasing number of cases of COVID-19 has caused quite a bad impact on the whole word in various complex fields. The high incidence of COVID-19 cases and the high case fatality rate (CFR) in the world, nationally and Jambi province as well as the high incidence of COVID-19 cases, even at the Paal V health center also had a fairly high CFR rate. The purpose of this study was ti determine the risk factors for the occurence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the work area of the Paal V health center Jambi City in 2021. Methods : This study uses an analytical research type and uses a case control design with a sample size of 82 respondents with a ratio of 1:1 so that 41 respondents for the case group and 41 respondents for the control group using simple random sampling data cases of COVID-19 in January-February. Result : Gender (OR=0,43 95%CI 0,17-1,07 p=0,109), age (OR=5,02 95% CI 1,91-13,19 p=0,002), education (OR=0,09 95%CI 0,01-0,74 p=0,018), vaccine status (OR=0,18 95%CI 0,02-1,61 p=0,203), close contact history (OR=0,60 95%CI 0,25-1,46 p=0,368), travel history (OR=2,14 95%CI 0,78-5,85 p= 0,213), washing hand (OR=1,13 95%CI 0,43-2,96 p=1), wearing a mask (OR=1,64 95%CI 0,53-5,12 p=0,568), keep the distance (OR=1 95%CI 0,38-2,66p=1), avoiding the crowd (OR=6,86 (95%CI 0,79-59,76 p=0,114), reduce mobility (OR=8,24 95%CI 0,96-70,31 p=0,063), and take health suplement (OR=1,36 95%CI 0,56-3,29 p=0,652). Conclusion : There is a relationship between age and education on the risk of being infected with COVID-19. There is no relationship between sec, vaccine status, history of close contact, travel history and application of health protocols to the risk of being infected with COVID-19.
