Abstract
Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency is an area that has a low poverty rate, but has the largest poverty line in the Jambi province and has a very large development gap. The problems that occur require a policy as a solution. BAZNAS, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, as a government agency of Jambi Province, is tackling poverty by distributing zakat, infaq and alms programs, especially productive zakat. The productive zakat program is channeled through Tanjung Jabung Timur Sejahtera.The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation process and the impact of the distribution and allocation of productive zakat in the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of East Tanjung Jabung Regency. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results of this study show that from communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure, the author sees that there are obstacles faced by BAZNAS Tanjung Jabung Timur, namely the lack of human resources and the wide distance traveled to mustahik. This causes the management and supervision process carried out by BAZNAS Tanjung Jabung Timur to be not optimal for their productive zakat funds. Meanwhile, the obstacle faced by mustahik recipients of productive zakat funds is that the absence of direct supervision causes them to have difficulty reporting to BAZNAS about the development of their business. The absence of training from BAZNAS also makes it difficult for mustahik to compete with other people who have the same type of business as mustahik.
