Abstract
Parental involvement of Attaleya Chacha’s, a nine years old student at the third grade of elementary school, is the main objective of this study. Attaleya Chacha has great and remarkable speaking skills in English. Her performance in speaking is displayed through her YouTube channel which contains a number of videos that showed her competencies in speaking English language fluently. The aim of this research is to investigate the involvement of Attaleya Chacha’s parents which fostering her ability to speak English language fluently. A qualitative case study research was employed by conducting interview with Attaleya’s parents as well as Attaleya’s herself. The result of this study indicates that Attaleya has excellent ability in communicating with English language, not only doing monologue as primarily exhibited in in her YouTube channel. Attaleya’s English language acquisition involves the intervention of her parents’ involvement in the learning process. Attaleya’s parents are actively involved in supporting and assisting Attaleya for at-home and at-school activities. Thus, Attaleya parents’ involvement by giving continuous support and assistance has positive attainments towards her child language learning and her education in particular.
