Abstract

ABSTRACT Water is one of most importance element for human lifing, because of its function as consumtion, cooking, washing, economic booster for society, and irrigation tool for agriculture. The history has been proven that huge human culture and civilization born in rivers side as a source of life. Without water, the human culture will be end. Because of water urgent within the life, we are need state attendance in managing of water supply for society by law regulations. In generally water supplying is acted by locally-owned corporation, that called by Municipal Waterworks right now. The good performance of Managing of water supply by municipal waterworks as an implementation from local government will be reached if corporate uses public service principles, like as continuity, accebility, accountability, technicallity, and still maintain corporate profitability The goal of this research is to observe, to analyze, and to decribe how strategy implentation of Municipal Waterworks Tirta Muaro Jambi in water supplying service for the society in Muaro Jambi Regency. The type of the research is descriptive-qualitative approach which used to explain about individu or collective behaviors and social phenomenon occurred. Informan selection technique is done by purposive sampling, data analysis performed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Methods of deta collection is done by observation and doccumentation. The reselt of this research is that Municipal Waterworks of Tirta Muaro Jambi is commited to implement water supplying service optimally. It is can be reached by some strategies, such as : phisycal infrastructure repairing, quality qontrol for the water periodecally, to observe distribution smoothness and maintaince for relationship between company and society as consumer. Beside that, contrain factors faced by Municipal Waterworks of Tirta Muaro Jambi are there is not office building, infrastructure and technique problems, and power outage.
