Abstract
Portfolio assessment is A purposeful collection of students’ works that the students chose that demonstrates the student’s efforts, progress, and achievements in one or more given areas, that becomes an evidence of the student’s achievement of learning outcomes, and student reflection. While Portfolio Assessment is already applied to various levels of education and is recently used in the K-13 Curriculum, its application is somewhat difficult. Therefore, the aim of this research is to describe portfolio assessment types in writing in descriptive text for students, and to describe aspects assessed in portfolio assessment for students’ writing in descriptive text. The research was conducted with Literature Study method. The data was collected through various articles, journals, books, and other published materials regarding portfolio assessment. The data has been analysed throughly and then the researcher would draw a conclusion as to are model of portfolio assesment used for student’s writing in descriptive text, according to the various data that will be analysed. The result of this research shows that the models used for portfolio assessment for students’ writing in Descriptive text are Self Assessment, Peer Assessment, Teacher Assessment, E-Portfolio, Worksheet Portfolio, and 2013 Curriculum, and the aspects assessed in portfolio assessment are Rubrics, Criteria, Checklists, Tests, and Questionnaires.
