Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurikulum 2013 yang menuntut siswa untuk lebih kreatif, produkrif, kritis, mandiri, kolaboratif, komunikatif, afektif dan memiliki keterampilan. Berpikir kreatif adalah adalah suatu upaya kegiatan mental yang dipakai oleh manusia untuk dapat membentuk suatu ide ide baru yang bersumber dari beberapa pengetahuan yang mempunyai kaitan satu sama lain. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalam model predict observe explain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterlaksanaan predict observe explain dan korelasinya dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. Penelian ini bermanfaat untuk siswa, guru, sekolah dan peneliti. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method (campuran) dengan jenis model Triangulasi Konkuren. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi pelaksanaan model pembelajaran predict observe explain oleh guru dan siswa dan soal tes essay kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diketahui bahwa penerapan model predict observe explain oleh siswa diperoleh rata-rata pada tiap pertemuan berurutan sebagai berikut:65,84. Hal ini sejalan positif dengan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diperoleh nilai rata-rata tiapyaitu: 69,94. Hubungan pelaksanaan model predict observe explain dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif diperoleh rxy = 0,75 dengan tingkat hubungan kuat. Hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi diperoleh nilai 56 % dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara keterlaksanaan model predict- observe-explain dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi This research is motivated by the 2013 curriculum which requires students to be more creative, productive, critical, independent, collaborative, communicative, affective and have skills. Creative thinking is a mental activity effort used by humans to be able to form new ideas that come from some knowledge that is related to each other. One of the learning models that can improve creative thinking skills is the predict observe explain model. This study aims to analyze the implementation of predict observe explain and its correlation with students' creative thinking skills on salt hydrolysis material in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Jambi City. This research is useful for students, teachers, schools and researchers. This research is a kind of descriptive correlational research. The design used in this study is a mixed method with the type of concurrent triangulation model. The sample used is class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Jambi City. The research instrument was an observation sheet on the implementation of the predict observe and explain learning model by teachers and students and essay tests on students' creative thinking skills. Based on the results of data processing, it is known that the application of the predict observe explain model by students is obtained on average at each successive meeting as follows: 65,84. This is in positive line with the results of the students' creative thinking ability test which obtained an average value of each, namely: 69.94. The relationship between the implementation of the predict observe explain model and the ability to think creatively is obtained rxy = 0.75 with a strong relationship level. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained a value of 56% in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there was a correlation between the implementation of the predict-observe-explain model and students' creative thinking skills on salt hydrolysis material in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Jambi City.
