Abstract

ABSTRACT Efforts to expand the target of the Covid-19 vaccine continue to be carried out by the government. After administering the Covid-19 vaccine to children aged 12-17 years, the Government also gave the green light for administering the Covid-19 vaccine to pregnant and lactating mothers. There are several conditions for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccine for pregnant women. Ignorance of these conditions makes people feel afraid and do not want to carry out the Covid-19 vaccine for pregnant and lactating women. pregnant and breastfeeding. The method used is giving explanations to the public directly, pretest-posttest and giving brochures about the covid-19 vaccine, which is a collaboration between the Center for Reproductive Health Studies at the LPPM Jambi University and the Valencia Mendalo Clinic. This activity was attended by 36 people from the general public, especially those around the Pinang Masak Campus, Jambi University and Valencia Housing Muaro Jambi. Participants consisted of 14 men (38.8%), 18 women who were not pregnant (50%), 4 pregnant women (11.11%). Community service in the form of counseling and providing leaflets can increase public knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine for pregnant and lactating women.
