Abstract

Adversity Quotient Power of Overseas Students in Psychology Study Program Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Jambi University 2022 Fiti Permana (Fifipermana198@gmail.com) ABSTRACT BACKGROUND many students who come from various parts of the city and country. Overseas students need a fighting spirit that can later help them familiarize themselves with their surroundings, and control themselves with new friends on campus. If overseas students do not have their own fighting power, they will have difficulty adjusting to overseas OBJECT There are so many students who come from various parts of the city and country. These people often reffer as Overseas students. Miles away from home these overseas student need an adversity Quotient that can later help them adapting to new neighborhood, and even with new friends on campus. If overseas students do not have such adversity quotient, they will be having a hard time adjusting to new environment on overseas. METHOD This research is using a survey method to find out the description of overseas students. Cluster sampling technique is used to collecting data with the result of total sample as such 40 respondents. The measuring instrument that used in this research is the adversity quotient scale with descriptive statistical data analysis. RESULTS From the research data thar has been collected, it is found that the aspect of control is in the medium category with a percentage of 62.5%, aspect of origin is in the low category with a percentage of 50%, aspect of reach is in the medium category with a percentage of 52.5%, and aspect of endurance is in the low category with a percentage of 45%. CONCLUSION The general description of an Adversity Quotient on psychology students in general towards those who migrate tends to be in the medium category with a percentage of 47.5%.
