Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jambi University in Academic Year 2021/2022. Advisors: (1)Urip Sulistiyo S.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. (2) Robi Soma, S.Pd., M.Pd The aim of this action research is to Improving Students’ Vocabulary Mastery By Using Riddle Game At The Eighth Grade Of Junior High School N 13 Sarolangun. Problems in the learning process, especially in learning English vocabulary as such, students have limited vocabulary because they have low motivation in the learning process. Moreover, the media that support vocabulary teachings such as handouts and dictionaries were not sufficiently. As a result, students have difficulties in memorizing the meaning of words because students are lazy to read English books. It can be said that, but many students at the eighth grade Junior High School 13 Sarolangun assume that English is a difficult subject. When the teacher asked questions, only 10% of students can answer the question. Also, the students answered the questions if only the teacher called their name and forced them to answer. In general, the students were passive in the classroom. The writer proposed Riddle Game because it was considered a suitable technique and also it could motivate students to learn vocabulary in a relaxed and enjoyable situation, so the students could understand and memorize the words easily. By using this game, the students may remember the meaning of the words, and the students know how to spell the words. Keywords: Vocabulary, Riddle Game
