Abstract

Kemampuan Mengidentifikasi Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VII A SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 Sovia Jesi Olvira, Agus Setyonegoro, Ade Kusmana FKIP Universitas Jambi ABSTRACT This study attempts to obtain information the ability identify text description of students VII A Junior High Schools 22 cities Jambi academic year 2017/2018. Identify used in this research as rarely been implemented by researchers before, identified is text description. Text description used in this research, because text description tell object in detail, and make the reader to be what is perceived writer directly. The study is done at 2 to january 20 2018. The subject of study this is a student VII A Junior High Schools 22 cities Jambi were 32 people, men 16 people and women 16 people. Based on the research, the ability to identify text description of seventh graders VII A Junior High Schools 22 cities Jambi academic year 2017/2018 is 41,8 overall on poor, situated at intervals 40-59. Inability to identify students text description due to a lack of understanding and concentration of students in reads the description. It is suggested that teachers gave students read on the motivation, and adjusting curriculum learning by 2013. Keywords: ability, identify, and description text
