Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Health promotions should be able to be carried out in all sectors, including the education sector, namely universities or better known as health promoting universities (HPU). From the results of a survey conducted by the HPU Pinang Masak FKIK Unja team before the implementation of the Health Promoting University program at FKIK, it was found that out of 482 respondents who were students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University, it was found that there were 58.7% of respondents who apparently still did not know about Health Promoting University, meanwhile, to realize the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University as a role model for the implementation of Health Promoting University as a healthy campus, it requires health literacy from all students to support the health promoting university program. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the description of individual characteristics, description of the level of Health Literacy, description of attitudes about Health Promoting University and the relationship between health literacy and attitudes of FKIK students about health promoting university at Jambi University. Methods: This study was a quantitative research with cross-sectional approach. The population is all undergraduate students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) with a total population of 2381 students. Sample was all undergraduate college students from 5 study programs with a total of 101 respondents. Data was collected by distributing online questionnaires. Results: Respondents with good health literacy as many as 66 people (65.3%) and poor health literacy were 35 people (34.7%). Respondents with supportive attitude towards health promoting university as many as 68 people (67.3%) and respondents who did not have supportive attitude as many as 33 people (34.7%). There is a significant relationship between health literacy and the attitude of FKIK students about health promoting university at Jambi University with p value = 0.000 or <0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between health literacy and the attitude of FKIK students about health promoting university at Jambi University Keywords: Health Promoting University, Health Literacy, Attitude, Students ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Promosi kesehatan seharusnya dapat dilakukan di semua sektor, termasuk sektor pendidikan yakni universitas atau lebih dikenal dengan health promoting university (HPU). Dari hasil survey yang pernah dilakukan oleh tim HPU Pinang Masak FKIK Unja sebelum diterapkannya program Health Promoting University di FKIK diketahui bahwa dari 482 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa dari Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jambi didapati ada 58,7% responden yang ternyata masih belum mengetahui tentang Health Promoting University sedangkan untuk mewujudkan Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jambi sebagai role model penerapannya Health Promoting University sebagai kampus sehat diperlukan health literacy dari semua mahasiswa untuk mendukung program health promoting university. Tujuan : Mengetahui gambaran karakteristik individu, gambaran tingkat Health Literacy, gambaran sikap tentang Health Promoting University dan hubungan antara health literacy dengan sikap mahasiswa FKIK tentang health promoting university di Universitas Jambi. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi adalah semua mahasiswa S1 Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) dengan jumlah populasi sebesar 2381 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa S1 dari 5 Program Studi sebanyak 101 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner online. Hasil Penelitian: Responden dengan health literacy baik sebanyak 66 orang (65,3%) dan health literacy kurang baik sebanyak 35 orang (34,7%). Responden dengan sikap mendukung health promoting university sebanyak 68 orang (67,3%) dan responden yang tidak mendukung health promoting university sebesar 33 orang (34,7%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara health literacy dengan sikap mahasiswa FKIK tentang health promoting university di Universitas Jambi dengan p value = 0.000 atau < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara health literacy dengan sikap mahasiswa FKIK tentang health promoting university di Universitas Jambi Kata kunci: Health Promoting University, Health Literacy, Sikap, Mahasiswa
