Abstract

Jambi Mayor Regulation Number 61 of 2018 concerning Restrictions on the Use of Plastic Shopping Bags in Jambi City which has the aim of reducing the volume of plastic waste in Jambi City, because plastic waste is dangerous and difficult to decompose on the ground. Plastic Shopping Bags are intended to make it easier for people to carry groceries but have a negative impact on the environment itself because it is difficult to decompose, and can cause air pollution if burned. The Jambi City Environmental Service, which is in charge of monitoring and implementing the Plastic Shopping Bag Restriction Policy, which has entered its fourth (4) year, is required to have ideas and innovations in developing this policy for the successful implementation of the Plastic Shopping Bag Restriction Policy in the City. Jambi. The Plastic Shopping Bag RestrictionPolicy is a policy of the Jambi City Government in presenting environmental cleanliness and health in Jambi City. The results of this study indicate that the implementation process has been running well in retail and modern markets, but has not been implemented in traditional markets and small shops. The Jambi City Environment Service seeks to implement the policy of limiting the use of plastic shopping bags that can be applied to all areas of Jambi City. As well as several obstacles faced by the Jambi City Environmental Service in implementing the policy of Restricting the Use of Single-use Plastic Shopping Bags.
