Abstract
Based on Undang-Undang Number 2 year 2008 about Political Parties, 30% of women in politics is directly related to Undang-Undang Number 10 year 2008 concerning Elections, determine women in parliament, namely the People's Representative Council and Regional People's Representative Council, as many as 30% of women in parliament list of legislative candidates, with the existence of this regulation, it is expected that the election can result in the representation of women in parliament by 30%. In Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, the representation of women in parliament since the 2019 election has been a positive results, which is almost 30%, which is 26.66% higher compared to other regencies/cities in Jambi Province. This research is using a descriptive quantitative method and capital theory by Pierre Bourdieu. The purpose of this study is to analyze what factors influence women's victories on the 2019 legislative elections in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency and to find out what factors have the most dominant influence on women's victories. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence the victory of women in the 2019 legislative elections in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency are: first, social capital, it is used by female legislative candidates to expand networks or positive relations within the community and relations outside the community, namely within the party. Second, economic capital, during the campaign period that requires funds for transportation, campaign tools and others. Third, cultural capital, female legislative candidates already have an advanced thinking resulted by knowledge, education or family inheritance which has advantages and can be a force or motivation to move towards parliament. Fourth, symbolic capital, namely property ownership. The most dominant factor that influencing women's victory has seen from the interval value, there are 2 factors or capital, namely social capital with a total interval value of 179,4 and cultural capital with a total interval value of 182,2.
