Abstract

ABSTRACT The performance of the Paal Merah Village apparatus, Jambi City in carrying out good governance with implementation and functions based on the principles of Good Governance, in addition to the responsibilities of government administrators, the principles applied consist of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and justice. The purpose of the study was to determine and analyze the performance of the urban village apparatus in administering the government in Paal Merah Village, Paal Merah Subdistrict, Jambi City and to determine and analyze the factors that influence the performance of the urban village apparatus in Paal Merah Village. The research uses an approach approach, namely an approach that gives researchers the opportunity to be able to describe and interpret in detail in order to get a holistic understanding. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Research informants became the Head of Paal Merah Village (1 person), Secretary (1 person), treasurer (1 person), and the community (2 people). The data that has been obtained will be analyzed qualitatively and described in descriptive form. The results of the research on the efforts of the Paal Merah sub-district government to provide public services were not good, as seen from the interviews found, by providing good services for the community in the welfare of the community but inversely. The inhibiting factor for performance is discipline, because it is not good enough in providing services to the community, where the performance provided is not optimal, namely working hours that are not in accordance with applicable rules and service processes. Factors affecting performance consist of observations that the first factor is good organizational factor, employee factor is good category, organizational environmental factor is quite good category, and relationship factor with other agencies is good category.
