Abstract

Penyuluhan pertanian bertindak sebagai upaya pendidikan untuk mengubah perilaku yang meliputi pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap para petani kecil untuk mewujudkan keberhasilan pembangunan pertanian dalam meningkatkan produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Untuk mengetahui peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi. 2) Untuk mengetahui produktivitas sayuran di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi. 3) Untuk menganalisis hubungan peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan produktivitas sayuran di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi. Penelitian in dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi pada bulan Oktober sampai bulan November 2021. Data analisis secara Deskriptif dan Kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode Chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dengan tujuan pertama menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan di daerah penelitian dapat dikategorikan tinggi yaitu sebesar 73,58%. Hasil tujuan kedua bahwa produktivitas usahatani sayuran di daerah penelitian dikategorikan tinggi yaitu dengan persentase 69,81%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Chi-square tujuan ketiga, didapat nilai x2 hitung = 10,50 > x2 tabel (3,841) maka diputuskan terima H1 dan tolak H0. Artinya, terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan produktivitas sayuran di Kecamatan Paal Merah Kota Jambi. Agricultural extension acts as an educational effort to change behavior which includes the knowledge, skills and attitudes of small farmers to realize the success of agricultural development in increasing productivity. This study aims to: 1) To find out the role of field agricultural extension workers in the Paal Merah District of Jambi City. 2) To find out the productivity of vegetables in the Paal Merah District of Jambi City. 3) To analyze the relationship between the role of field agricultural extension workers and vegetable productivity in the Paal Merah District of Jambi City. This research was carried out in the Paal Merah District of Jambi City from October to November 2021. Data analysis descriptively and quantitatively using the Chi-square method. Based on the results of the study, the first objective shows that the role of field agricultural extension workers in the study area can be categorized as high, namely 73.58%. The second goal result is that the productivity of vegetable farming in the study area is categorized as high, namely with a percentage of 69,81%. Based on the results of the third goal Chi-square analysis, the value of x2 count = 10.50 > x2 table (3,841) was obtained, then it was decided to accept H1 and reject H0. This means that there is a real relationship between the role of field agricultural extension workers and vegetable productivity in the Red Paal District of Jambi City.
