Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyuluhan pertanian bertindak sebagai upaya pendidikan untuk mengubah perilaku yang meliputi pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap para petani kecil untuk mewujudkan keberhasilan pembangunan pertanian dalam meningkatkan produktivitas Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Untuk mengetahui peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan di Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. (2) Untuk mengetahui penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. (3) Untuk menganalisis hubungan peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan terhadap penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah di Desa Muara Kumpeh, Desa Kota Karang dan Desa Sakean dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 66 petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Agustus 2021 hingga September 2021. Data yang telah diperoleh dari petani sampel dianalisis secara statistik non parametrik degan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan kontigensi 2x2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan di daerah penelitian dapat dikategorikan tinggi yaitu sebesar (83%). Penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah secara total di daerah penelitian masih dikategorikan tinggi dengan persentase (76%). Berdasarkan analisis Chi-square terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan terhadap penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai Thitung = 17,15 > Ttabel (1,99773) Artinya Ho di tolak dan H1 diterima sehingga terdapat hubungan peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan terhadap penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. (1) To find out the role of field agricultural extension workers in Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency. (2) To find out the application of five paddy rice farming in Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency. (3) To analyze the relationship between the role of agricultural extension workers on the implementation of five paddy rice farming in Muara Kumpeh Village, Karang City Village and Sakean Village with a sample size of 66 farmers. This research was conducted from August 2021 to September 2021. The data obtained from the sample farmers were analyzed statistically non-parametrically using the Chi-Square test with 2x2 contingency. Based on the results of the study, the role of field agricultural extension workers in the research area can be categorized as high (83%). The total application of five paddy rice farming in the research area is still categorized as high with a percentage (76%). Based on the Chi-square analysis, there is a significant relationship between the role of field agricultural instructors on the implementation of five paddy rice farming in Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency, this is indicated by the value of Tcount = 17.15 > Ttable (1.99773). This means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted so that there is a relationship between the role of field agricultural instructors on the implementation of five paddy rice farming in Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency.
