Abstract

ABSTRAK Jambi memiliki banyak peninggalan bangunan kolonial salah satunya adalah gereja Santa Teresia dengan ciri khas gaya yang berbeda dengan bangunan kolonial lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk perekaman gereja Katolik Santa Teresia yang dianggap memiliki nilai-nilai penting guna untuk menyimpan data karena sewaktu-waktu bangunan gereja dapat mengalami perubahan atau renovasi. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai gaya bangunan yang diadopsi oleh gereja Katolik Santa Teresia Paroki Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu melakukan pengumpulan data dengan cara deskripsi, dokumentasi, dan pengukuran pada bangunan gereja. selanjutnya akan dilakukan analisis morfologi berdasarkan aspek interior dan eksterior, sehingga dapat dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan dengan mengkomparasikan elemen-elemen yang ada pada gereja Katolik Santa Teresia dengan bangunan kolonial yang ada di Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa gaya gereja Katolik Santa Teresia Paroki Kota Jambi menggunakan konsep gaya Arsitektur Kolonial Modern. Kemudian, gaya pada komponen pendukung dipengaruhi oleh gaya Art Deco, dan Art and Craft. Kata kunci: Gereja, Katolik St. Teresia, Arsitektur Modern ABSTRACT Jambi has many colonial buildings, one of which is the Santa Teresia church with a distinctive style that is different from other colonial buildings. The purpose of this study for the Catholic Church of Santa Teresia is considered to have important values for storing data because at any time the church building can undergo changes or repairs. This thesis discusses the building style adopted by the Catholic Church of Santa Teresia Parish of Jambi City. The research method was carried out in several stages, namely collecting data by means of descriptions, documentation, and measurements in church buildings. Furthermore, morphological analysis will be carried out based on interior and exterior aspects, so that conclusions can be drawn. This research was also conducted by comparing the elements in the Santa Teresia Catholic church with colonial buildings in Indonesia. Results Based on the analysis, it is known that the style of the Catholic Church of Santa Teresia Parish of Jamby City uses the concept of Modern Colonial Architecture Style. Then, the style of supporting components is influenced by the Art Deco, and Art And Craft Styles. Keywords: Church, Catholic St. Teresia, Modern Architecture
