Abstract

ABSTRAK Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicium L.) merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok rumah tangga sebagai pelengkap bumbu masakan sehari-hari. Kegunaan lain dari bawang merah ialah sebagai obat tradisional yang manfaatnya sudah dirasakan masyarakat luas. Produktivitas bawang merah di Indonesia setiap tahunnya mengalami penurunan. Oleh karena itu dilakukan peningkatan dengan menciptakan kondisi yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhannya yaitu dengan cara pemupukan. Oleh sebab itu Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian pupuk kandang kambing dan arang sekam padi dengan pemberian eco enzyme terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi pada bulan Maret sampai Juni 2022. Metode percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan media tanam yang diberi dan tidaknya eco enzyme. Untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan terhadap variabel yang diamati, maka data dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan ANOVA dan uji lanjut menggunakan DMRT pada taraf p=0,05. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun per rumpun, jumlah umbi per rumpun, dan bobot umbi kering angin per rumpun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan menggunakan pupuk kandang kambing, arang sekam padi dan eco enzyme berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicium L.) yang ditinjukkan oleh variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun per rumpun, jumlah umbi per rumpun, dan bobot umbi kering angin per rumpun. Perlakuan pupuk kandang kambing, arang sekam padi dan eco enzyme merupakan hasil terbaik terhadap tanaman bawang merah karena dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman dan memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi dan bobot umbi kering angin tanaman bawang merah varietas Bima Brebes. Kata kunci: Bawang Merah, Pupuk Kandang Kambing, Arang Sekam, Eco Enzyme ABSTRACT Shallots (Allium ascalonicium L.) is one of the basic household needs as a complement to daily cooking spices. Another use of onion is as a traditional medicine whose benefits have been felt by the wider community. The productivity of shallots in Indonesia has decreased every year. Therefore, an increase is made by creating conditions that can support its growth, namely by means of fertilization. Therefore, this study aimed to study the effect of applying goat manure and rice husk charcoal with the use of eco-enzyme on the growth and yield of shallots. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Outer City District, Muaro Jambi Regency from March to June 2022. The experimental method used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with the treatment of planting media that was given and whether or not eco enzymes. To see the effect of treatment on the observed variables, the data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA and further test using DMRT at the level of p = 0.05. Observations were made on plant height, number of leaves per clump, number of bulbs per clump, and wind-dried bulb weight per clump. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the treatment using goat manure, rice husk charcoal and eco-enzyme had an effect on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicium L.) which was indicated by the observation variables of plant height, number of leaves per clump, number of bulbs per clump, and weight of wind-dried tubers per clump. The treatment of goat manure, rice husk charcoal and eco-enzyme was the best result for shallot plants because it could increase plant growth and give the best results on plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs and dry bulb weight of shallots of Bima Brebes variety.
