Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui gambaran tentang penggunaan faktor produksi, volume produksi dan produktivitas usahatani kentang di Kecamatan Jangkat Kabupaten Merangin (2) menganalisis efisiensi ekonomi penggunaan faktor produksi usahatani kentang di Kecamatan Jangkat Kabupaten Merangin (3) untuk menentukan tingkat efisiensi dan penggunaan faktor produksi yang optimal pada usahatani kentang di Kecamatan Jangkat Kabupaten Merangin. Daerah penelitian dilakukan secara purposive dengan periode data pada bulan september hingga oktober 2021 di Desa Pulau Tengah dan Desa Lubuk Pungguk. Metode penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling dan untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi kentang digunakan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas. Selanjutnya untuk menganalisis efisiensi ekonomi penggunaan faktor produksi digunakan perbandingan nilai produk marginal faktor produksi dengan harga faktor produksi yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa faktor produksi yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi kentang di daerah penelitian adalah luas lahan, benih, pupuk Sp-36, pupuk KCL dan pupuk NPK, sedangkan tenaga kerja dan herbisida tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi kentang di daerah penelitian. Penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi luas lahan,benih, pupuk Sp-36, pupuk KCL, pupuk NPK, dan herbisida menunjukkan belum efisien secara ekonomi, sedangkan penggunaan tenaga kerja tidak efisien secara ekonomi. Kata Kunci : Usahatani Kentang, Efisiensi Ekonomi ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) find out the description of the use of production factors, production volume and productivity of potato farming in Jangkat District, Merangin Regency (2) analyze the economic efficiency of using potato farming production factors in Jangkat District, Merangin Regency (3) to determine the level of efficiency and optimal use of production factors in potato farming in Jangkat District, Merangin Regency. The research area was carried out purposively with the data period from September to October 2021 in Pulau Tengah Village and Lubuk Pungguk Village. The sampling method was carried out using a simple random sampling method and to analyze the factors affecting potato production, the Cobb-Douglas production function was used. Furthermore, to analyze the economic efficiency of the use of factors of production, a comparison of the value of the marginal product of the factors of production with the prices of the factors of production used is used. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the production factors that affect potato production in the study area were land area, seeds, Sp-36 fertilizer, KCL fertilizer and NPK fertilizer, while labor and herbicides had no effect on potato production in the study area. The use of production factors of land area, seeds, Sp-36 fertilizer, KCL fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and herbicide shows that it is not economically efficient, while the use of labor is not economically efficient.
