Abstract

This study aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of oil palm farmers and to find out how the influence of land area, productivity, and price on the Farmers Term of Trade of oil palm farmers in Rasau Village, Renah Pamenang District, Merangin Regency. The study used primary data with the number of samples used as many as 82 samples and taken by Proportional Random Sampling. The data were analyzed descriptively and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 20. The results showed the average age of oil palm farmers was 48.52 years, farming experience 20 years, education history average high school, with an average number of family dependents 3 people . From all samples used, all managed land is privately owned with an average land area of 2.37 Ha, total production of 1,351,463 Kg, selling price of Rp. 3,192.43 per kg, and the average NTP is 132.24%. The results of the multiple linear regression model show that all the independent variables used, namely land area (X1), productivity (X2), and price (X3) have a positive and significant effect on Farmers Term of Trade with an R2 value of 75.60%.
