Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk : (1) Mengetahui gambaran kondisi peremajaan kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani memilih model peremajan kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni sampai bulan Juli 2020. Metode penarikan sampel menggunakan metode slovin dan pemilihan daerah dilakukan secara purposive. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Peremajaan kelapa sawit yang menggunakan model konvensional di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar menggunakan sumber pendanaan BPDPKS dan rata-rata lahan kelapa sawit yang diremajakan oleh petani adalah 2 hektar. Biaya terbesar yang harus dikeluarkan petani untuk melakukan peremajaan menggunakan model konvensional di daerah penelitian adalah 25 juta. Peremajaan model Underplanting di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar menggunakan sumber dana pribadi dan rata-rata lahan kelapa sawit yang diremajakan oleh petani adalah 2 hektar. Biaya terbesar yang harus dikeluarkan petani untuk melakukan peremajaan menggunakan model underplanting di daerah penelitian adalah 8 juta (2) keputusan petani dalam memilih model peremajaan kelapa sawit dipengaruhi secara nyata oleh lima variabel yaitu pendapatan diluar usahatani kelapa sawit, luas kepemilikan lahan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, keanggotaan petani dalam kelompok tani/KUD dan biaya replanting. Kata Kunci : Keputusan Petani, Kelapa Sawit, Peremajaan Kelapa Sawit ABSTRACT This research was conducted to: (1) determine the description of the condition of oil palm rejuvenation in Sungai Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency. (2) analyze the factors that influence the decision of farmers to choose the model of oil palm rejuvenation in Sungai Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This research was conducted from June to July 2020. The sampling method used the slovin method and the regional selection was carried out purposively. The data analysis method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed (1) Oil palm rejuvenation using the conventional model in Sungai Bahar District used BPDPKS funding sources and the average area of oil palm replanted by farmers was 2 hectares. The biggest cost that must be incurred by farmers to carry out rejuvenation using conventional models in the research area is 25 million. The rejuvenation of the Underplanting model in Sungai Bahar Sub-district uses private funds and the average oil palm area replanted by smallholders is 2 hectares. The biggest cost that must be incurred by farmers to carry out rejuvenation using the underplanting model in the research area is 8 million (2) farmers' decisions in choosing the oil palm rejuvenation model are significantly influenced by five variables, namely income outside of oil palm farming, land ownership area, number of family dependents, farmer membership in farmer groups/KUD and replanting costs.
