Abstract
The problems found are the low motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students during online learning and offline learning. In addition, the learning model used has not been able to increase students' motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in biology subjects. Therefore, this research is needed which aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the blended learning learning model on motivation and cognitive biology learning outcomes for class X SMA in the Academic Year 2021/2022. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi in March 2022. The research data was obtained by distributing motivation questionnaires to students to measure students' initial motivation and final motivation and by distributing pre-test post-test questions to determine early learning outcomes and final learning outcomes. on the cognitive aspect. Data on motivation and cognitive learning outcomes were analyzed quantitatively by using the percentage formula, anaova test and t test. The results showed that the blended learning learning model had a significant effect on the motivation and learning outcomes of cognitive biology students of class X SMA. Anaova test results show that the blended learning model has an effect of 88% on motivation and 50% on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The results of the t test obtained a significance value (0.00) < value (0.05) on motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the blended learning model has a significant effect on students' motivation and cognitive learning outcomes.
