Abstract
Kata Kunci : Impor, Garam, Error Correction Model This study intends to ascertain and analyze the growth of Indonesian salt imports, as well as the country's gross domestic product, salt import prices, and Rupiah exchange rate to the dollar. It also aims to ascertain and analyze the impact of these factors on imports. Salt from Indonesia, 1998 to 2021. Descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, specifically the Error Correction Model (ECM) regression employing data from 1998 to 2021, were the research methods used in this study. According to the study's findings, Indonesian salt imports fluctuated every year from 1998 to 2021, with an average growth of 8.2 percent. The average growth rate for the Gross Domestic Product from 1998 through 2021 is 4.6%. Between 1998 and 2021, the price of imported salt increased by an average of 1.6 percent, and the Rupiah's value as a unit of exchange against the US dollar changes each year by an average of 1.9 percent. The findings of the second study demonstrate that, both over the long and short terms, the gross domestic product has a favorable and considerable impact on imports of salt from Indonesia. In contrast to the exchange rate of the Rupiah dollar exchange Rate, which has a negative and considerable impact on imports of Indonesian salt over the long and short terms, import prices have no influence on imports of Indonesian salt either.
