Abstract

Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bungus merupakan salah satu pusat kegiatan perikanan yang berada di wilayah Sumatera Barat. Tentunya, sebagai sentra perikanan pelabuhan ini mempunyai berbagai macam aktivitas dalam proses pelayanan para pelaku perikanan. Aktivitas pembongkaran ikan tuna di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPST) Bungus dilakukan pada pagi hari yang berguna untuk mencegah panas matahari dan menggunakan alat-alat yang lengkap untuk menjaga kerusakan fisik agar menghhasilkan kualitas daging yang bagus. Kualitas daging ikan yang didaratkan dapat dilihat dari proses pencekeran yang dilakukan oleh seorang grader ceker dari PT. IMS. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efisiensi waktu pembongkaran dan kualitas daging ikan tuna serta hubungan efisiensi waktu pembongkaran ikan pada alat tangkap hand line dengan kualitas daging ikan tuna di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bungus Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bungus Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada tanggal 16 sampai 31 Maret 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah pearson correlation. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata efisiensi waktu pembongkaran ikan tuna sebesar 58,80% sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa aktivitas pembongkaran ikan tuna kurang efisien. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata kualitas daging ikan tuna sebesar 51, dimana nilai 51 ini sudah termasuk kedalam kriteria grade B (Tuna loin). Berdasarkan analisis pearson correlation nilai sigma yaitu 0,857 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang tidak signifikan pada tingkat α = 0,05 antara efisiensi waktu pembongkaran dengan kualitas daging ikan tuna di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bungus. Keeratan hubungan ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,062 yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan antara efisiensi waktu pembongkaran dengan kualitas daging ikan tuna di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bungus Proinsi Sumatera Barat. Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) is one of the centers of fishery activities in the West Sumatra region. Of course, as a fishery center, this port has various activities in the service process for fishery actors. The activity of unloading tuna at the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPST) is carried out in the morning which is useful for preventing the sun's heat and using complete tools to maintain physical damage in order to produce good quality meat. The quality of the landed fish can be seen from the grinding process carried out by a claw grader from PT. STI. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of unloading time and the quality of tuna meat and the relationship between the efficiency of fish unloading time on hand line fishing gear and the quality of tuna meat at the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) West Sumatra Province. This research was conducted at the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) of West Sumatra Province on March 16 to 31, 2022. The method used in this study was a survey method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data used is Pearson correlation. Based on the results of the study showed that the average efficiency of tuna dismantling time was 58.80%, so it can be said that the tuna dismantling activity was less efficient. While the average value of tuna meat quality is 51, where this value of 51 is included in the criteria for grade B (Tuna loin). Based on the Pearson correlation analysis, the sigma value is 0.857, which means that there is an insignificant relationship at the level of = 0.05 between the efficiency of unloading time and the quality of tuna meat at the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPS). The close relationship is shown by the correlation coefficient value of r = 0.062, which means that there is no relationship between the efficiency of unloading time and the quality of tuna meat at the Bungus Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) West Sumatra Province.
