Abstract

This paper mostly contains finding of my research entitled “Strategi dan Kebijakan dalam Menetralisir Eksklusivisme kegiatan Kemahasiswaan (Rohis) di PTU (strategy and policy in neutralizing exclusivism in student activities in General University” funded by DP2M DIKTI, where year 2016 is the second year. In the first year, the researcher conducted a comparative study to some General Universities such as Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and spread research questioners to 50 lecturers of Islamic Religious Education in General Universities in Indonesia. In the second year, the researcher conducted Focus Grup Discussion (FGD) in Universitas Jambi with the theme “Strategi Perkuliahan, Pembelajaran, Kegiatan dan Materi Pendidikan Agama Islam di PTU dalam menangkal Eksklusivisme dan Radikalisme (Learning strategy, instruction, activity, and subject matter of Islamic Religious Education in General Universities, in preventing exclusivism and radicalism)”. This paper is a resume of how is the understanding about exclusivism and radicalism in general and how is the role played by Islamic Religious Education in facing its radicalism challenge.
