Abstract
ABSTRACT There has been a study of the implementation of guided inkuiry model and its influence on students' critical thinking. This study aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of guided inkuiry model and its influence on the students' critical thinking ability in the study of acid-base material in class XI MIPA SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Jambi. This research is a quasi experimental research. The sampling technique was done by Purposive Sampling technique. Instrument of research in the form of observation sheet of implementation of guided inquiry model by teacher or student as well as test about student's critical thinking ability. The implementation of guided inkuiry by teachers is categorized very well with the average percentage of 83.33% and 71.26% students with good category, and critical thinking ability of 89,08% students with very good category. The result of correlation test between the implementation of guided inquiry learning model with students' critical thinking ability is obtained r = 0.54 expressing the moderate relationship level. Normality and homogeneity test results show normal and homogeneous data. Significant test results obtained t count> ttable (3.0734> 1.7138). Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the implementation of Inquiry learning model Guided by students' critical thinking ability on acidic bases in class XI MIPA SMAN Titian Teras H.
