Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the price behavior of purebred chicken during the fasting month in traditional markets in the period before, early and the covid-19 pandemic in Jambi Province, to determine differences in the price of broiler meat during the fasting month in traditional markets in the period before, early and the covid pandemic -19 in Jambi Province, to determine the effect of the time period on changes in the price of purebred chicken during the fasting month at traditional markets in the period before, early and the Covid-19 pandemic in Jambi Province. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data. The secondary data used is daily time series data for the period 2019 – 2021. The data were analyzed descriptively and to find out the difference in prices a different test was used. The results of the analysis of price behavior for purebred chicken, namely the price "fluctuated low" tended to increase in the period before (2019) the Covid-19 Pandemic, but in purebred chicken the price increased in the early period (2020) of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Jambi Province, Before the Covid-19 pandemic (2019) the price of livestock products did not increase too much, but at the Beginning (2020) of the Covid-19 Pandemic the price decreased due to a difficult economy and again increased drastically during the Period (2021) of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Province Jambi and Based on the results of the ANOVA test, there is no significant difference in the price of purebred chicken from before (2019) to early (2020), early (2020) to later (2021), before (2019) to later (2021).
