Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of documenting the use of term by the Kerinci community in agrarian culture in the field of rice fields as a form of local language preservation. As for the purpose of this research is to inventory, classify, and describe the use of the term by the community Kerinci in agricultural culture in the field of rice fields in accordance with the word class. The method or approach used is a qualitative approach that prioritizes the sharpness of the analysis of the data. Based on the results of research can be concluded that there are four types of word classes that exist in the use of terms by the community Kerinci Malay in the rice fields. The word classes are nouns, verbs, adjectives, and numerals.
