Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pengaplikasian model PHT dalam mengendalikan kutu kebul, kutu daun dan thrips pada tanaman cabai keriting (Capsicum annuum L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanaman cabai varietas Lado F1 fase vegetatif di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi pada tahun 2022. Penanaman cabai dilaksanakan dengan dua perlakuan yaitu : 1) Model PHT (Penanaman tanaman jagung sebagai barier di sekeliling tanaman cabai, penananaman tanaman kemangi sebagai repellent di sela tanaman cabai, melakukan monitoring, dan penyemprotan pestisida nabati), 2) Penanaman cabai monokultur dan perawatan secara konvensional menggunakan pestisida kimia secara intensif. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 7 kali. Pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan jumlah popoulasi, persentase tanaman terserang kutu kebul, kutu daun dan thrips dan persentase tanaman terserang virus yang dilakukan setiap minggu. Tindakan pengendalian dengan penggunaan pestisida nabati berdasarkan monitoring yaitu 2 hari sekali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi dan persentase tanaman terserang kutu kebul dan kutu daun dan thrips pada lahan model PHT yang dirancang dengan lahan konvensional berpengaruh nyata. Persentase tanaman terserang virus pada lahan PHT dan konvensional juga berpengaruh nyata. Kesimpulan penelitian yakni model pht yang dirancang jauh lebih baik dalam menekan populasi dan serangan kutu kebul, kutu daun dan thrips dibandingkan lahan konvensional serta persentase tanaman terserang virus rendah pada lahan PHT. This research aims to study the effect of applying the IPM model in controlling whitefly, aphids and thrips on curly chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.). The research was conducted on chili plants of Lado F1 variety in the vegetative phase at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University in 2022. Chili planting was carried out with two treatments, namely: 1) IPM model (planting corn plants as a barrier around chili plants, planting basil plants as repellents between chili plants, monitoring, and spraying vegetable pesticides), 2) Monoculture chili planting and conventional treatment using chemical pesticides intensively. Each treatment was repeated 7 times. Data collection through observation of the number of populations, the percentage of plants attacked by whitefly, aphids and thrips and the percentage of plants attacked by viruses carried out every week. Control measures with the use of vegetable pesticides based on monitoring, which is every 2 days. The results showed that the population and percentage of plants attacked by whitefly and aphids and thrips on the IPM model land designed with conventional land had a significant effect. The percentage of virus infested plants on IPM and conventional land also had a significant effect. The conclusion of the research is that the designed IPM model is much better in suppressing the population and attack of whitefly, aphids and thrips compared to conventional land and the percentage of virus infested plants is low in IPM land.
