Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is a protection effort for workers to create a healthy and safe environment so as to avoid work accidents. Ramlan Jaya welding workshop has a fairly high risk of work accidents where work accidents often occur. The determinants of work accidents can be identified through hazard analysis, therefore in order to prevent the occurrence of work accidents which have an impact on disrupting the production process causing losses and casualties at the Ramlan Jaya welding workshop, Jambi City, it is necessary to carry out a hazard analysis at the Ramlan Jaya welding workshop, Jambi City. Methods: Qualitative research by analyzing and interpreting texts and interview results with the aim of finding the meaning of a phenomenon. The design of this study was to analyze the hazards in the production process at the Ramlan Jaya welding workshop, Jambi City in 2022. The object of this research is the production process, namely the stages of cutting, welding, trimming/refining the results of welding, and painting/finishing. Results: At the cutting stage, 6 physical hazards, 2 chemical hazards, 1 mechanical hazard, 1 electrical hazard and 2 psychosocial hazards were found. At the welding stage, 11 physical hazards, 1 chemical hazard, 1 electrical hazard, and 2 psychosocial hazards were found. During the smoothing/refining stage of the welding results, 4 physical hazards, 2 chemical hazards, 1 mechanical hazard, and 1 electrical hazard were found. At the painting/finishing stage, physical hazards were found, 2 chemical hazards and 1 electrical hazard. Conclusion: There are 12 physical hazards, 6 chemical hazards, 1 mechanical hazard, 1 electrical hazard and 2 psychosocial hazards with the results of a low (low) to high (high) risk analysis. The recommended hazard control efforts are administrative control and personal protective equipment (PPE). Keywords: K3, Hazard Analysis, Welding Workshop.
