Abstract
ABSTRACT This research was conducted to compare cropping patterns of butternut squash monoculture and butternut squash intercropping with several repellent plants on the attack percentage and A. saltator population, butternut squash production and the presence of A. saltator parasitoids. This research was designed with a randomized block design (RBD) with 4 treatments, namely A: monoculture of Butternut squash B: intercropping of butternut squash and lemongrass C: intercropping of butternut squash and turmeric D: intercropping of butternut squash and spring onion where each treatment was repeated as 6 times. Data collection on the percentage of infected plants was carried out every week starting from the age of the butternut squash 14 to 56 days after planting. Calculation of the number of larvae/pupae and butternut squash production was carried out after butternut squash is harvest. Observation of parasitoids associated with A. saltator larvae/pupae was carried out by bringing the larvae and pupae to the laboratory. The results showed that intercropping of butternut squash with several repellent plants had no significant effect on attack percentage, A. saltator larvae and pupa populations and butternut squash production. In this research, no parasitoids were found associated with A. saltator. The conclusion of this study is that the application of intercropping pattern of butternut squash and repellent plants does not suppress the percentage of attacks and the population of A. saltator. From this research it was also known that the intercropping of butternut squash with repellent plants produced more pumpkin fruit than the monoculture treatment. Keywords : A. saltator, intercropping, repellent, butternut squash INTISARI Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pola tanam monokultur labu madu dan tumpang sari labu madu dengan beberapa tanaman repelen terhadap persentase serangan dan populasi A. saltator, hasil produksi labu madu serta keberadaan parasitoid A. saltator. Kata kunci : A. saltator, tumpang sari, repelen, labu madu
