Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik hidroton dengan campuran kulit tanduk kopi, mengetahui variasi campuran kulit tanduk kopi yang paling baik terhadap karakteristik hidroton, dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu perbandingan tanah liat (%) dan arang kulit tanduk kopi (%); 100%:0% (P0), 90%:10% (P1), 80%:20% (P2), 70%:30% (P3), 60%:40% dan 50%:50%. Hasil penelitian yaitu penambahan kulit tanduk kopi berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot isi, porositas, kadar air, pH dan EC. Perlakuan 80% tanah liat : 20% kulit tanduk menghasilkan bobot isi 0,91 (g/cm3), porositas 39,79%, kadar air 1,38%, pH 7,26 dan kadar EC 313,50(μs/cm). ABSTRACT - This study was conducted to determine the characteristics of hydrotons with a mixture of coffee horn skins, knowing the variations of coffee horn skin mixtures that are best for hydrotone characteristics, by using a complete random design of 6 treatments and 4 tests. The research treatment was a comparison of clay (%) and coffee horn shell charcoal (%); 100%:0% (P0), 90%:10% (P1), 80%:20% (P2), 70%:30% (P3), 60%:40% and 50%:50%. The results of the study, namely the addition of coffee horn skins, had a significant effect on the weight of the contents, porosity, moisture content, pH and EC. The treatment of 80% clay: 20% horn shell produced a content weight of 0.91(g/cm3), porosity of 39,79%, moisture content of 1.38%, pH of 7,26 and EC content of 313,50(μs/cm).
