Abstract

ABSTRAK Judul penelitian ini adalah “Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Minat Mantan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) Untuk Bekerja Kembali Ke Luar Negeri (Studi Kasus Kabupaten Kerinci)” dibawah bimbingan Bapak Dr. H. Yulmardi, S.E., M.S dan Bapak Drs. Adi Bhakti, M.Si. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: 1) Untuk menganalisis karakteristik sosial ekonomi dan demografi mantan PMI di Kabupaten Kerinci. 2) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendapatan, pendidikan, jumlah tanggungan, status pernikahan dan usia terhadap minat mantan PMI untuk bekerja kembali ke luar negeri di Kabupaten Kerinci. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder dengan sampel bertahap sebagai metode penentuan sampel. Metode analisis pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan Binnary Logistic Regression. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapatan di negara tujuan 0,0425 < (α =0,05), pendidikan untuk tingkat SMP 0,5437 > (α =0,05) dan pendidikan untuk tingkat SMA 0,7435 > (α =0,05), jumlah tanggungan 0,0348 < (α =0,05), status pernikahan 0,8768 > (α =0,05) dan usia 0,0201 < (α =0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel pendapatan, jumlah tanggungan dan usia berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat mantan PMI untuk bekerja kembali ke luar negeri di Kabupaten Kerinci. Sedangkan variabel pendidikan dan status pernikahan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat mantan PMI untuk bekerja kembali ke luar negeri di Kabupaten Kerinci. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah Pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan bagi masyarakat serta adanya kursus keterampilan dan pelatihan wirausaha bagi masyarakat sehingga dapat menciptakan lapangan kerja, dengan adanya kehidupan ekonomi yang semakin tinggi maka dapat membantu wilayah tersebut berkembang lebih jauh sehingga sedapat mungkin masyarakat tidak perlu mencari pekerjaan di luar negeri. ABSTRACT The title of this research is “Analysis Of The Factors Affecting The Interests Of Former Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) To Work Back Abroad (Case Study Of Kerinci Regency)” under the guidance of Mr. Dr. H. Yulmardi, S.E., M.S and Mr. Drs. Adi Bhakti, M.Si. The aims of the study are to: 1) To analyze the socio- economic and demographic characteristics of former PMI in Kerinci Regency. 2) To analyze the effect of income, education, the number of families, married status and age on the interest of former PMI to return to work abroad in Kerinci Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative. The data used are primary data and secondary data with a gradual sample as a method of determining the sample. The method of analysis in this study is to use binary logistic regression. The result showed that income in the destination countries is 0,0425 < (α =0,05), education for junior high school level is 0,5437 > (α =0,05) and education for high school level is 0,7435 > (α =0,05), the number of families 0,0348 < (α =0,05),married status 0,8768 > (α =0,05) and age 0,0201 < (α =0,05). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the variables of income, number of families and age had a significant effect on the interest of former PMI to return to work abroad in Kerinci Regency, while the variables of education and married status had no significant effect on the interest of former PMI to return to work abroad in Kerinci Regency. Suggestions from this research are the importance of improving the quality of education for the community as well as having skills courses and entrepreneurship training for the community so as to create jobs, with an increasingly high economic life it can help the region develop further so that as much as possible people do not need to look for work elsewhere overseas.
