Abstract
ABSTRAK Mukhoiyaroh, B.S.E. 2022. Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Eksplanasi Menggunakan Project Based Learning di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 6 Batanghari : Tesis, Program Magister Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Universitas Jambi, Pembimbing: (I) Dr. Rustam, S.Pd., M.Hum., (II) Dr. Reli Handayani, S.S., M.Pd. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi menggunakan Project Based Learning (PjBL) di SMA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Data penelitian yang digunakan berasal dari hasil observasi, wawancara, tes unjuk kerja dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMAN 6 Batanghari dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Pada tahap pembelajaran terdapat permasalahan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi yaitu, siswa merasa kesulitan menggunakan kalimat efektif, menemukan ide, gagasan, fenomena dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Setelah model project based learning diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi terlihat bahwa kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat. This research was conducted to describe learning to write explanatory texts using Project Based Learning (PjBL) in high school. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive method and a case study approach. The research data used comes from observations, interviews, performance tests and documentation. The subjects in the study were Indonesian language teachers and students of class XI MIPA 2 at SMAN 6 Batanghari with a total of 30 students. At the learning stage there are students' problems in writing explanatory texts, namely, students find it difficult to use effective sentences, find ideas, ideas, phenomena and critical thinking skills. After the project based learning model was applied in learning to write explanatory texts, it was seen that the ability to write explanatory texts and students' critical thinking skills increased.
