Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses eksklusi dan inklusi dalam teks dialog film The Bird Dancer menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis Theo Van Leeuwen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deksriptif kualitatif dan sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah film dokumenter The Bird Dancer karya Elemental Production. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil transkripsi film The Bird Dancer yang diklasifikasikan berdasarkan strategi eksklusi dan strategi inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada total 53 data secara keseluruhan yang terdiri pada strategi eksklusi ditemukan 23 data yang terdiri dari 17 data pasivasi (pasivasi prefiks di- tanpa aktor 9 data, pasivasi prefiks di- dengan aktor 2 data, pasivasi prefiks ter- dengan aktor 1 data, pasivasi konfiks di–kan tanpa aktor 4 data, konfiks diper–kan tanpa aktor 2 data, pasivasi konfiks di–i tanpa aktor 1 data) dan 6 data nominalisasi ( imbuhan pe-...-an 2 data, pen-...-an 1 data, per-...-an 1 data dan peng-...-an 2 data). Sedangkan pada strategi inklusi ditemukan 30 data yang terdiri dari nominasi – kategorisasi 3 data kategorisasi, objektivasi – abstraksi 2 data abstraksi dan 25 data determinasi – indeterminasi (2 data determinasi dan 23 data indeterminasi). Melalui film ini, terlihat bahwa Elemental Production adalah Production House (PH) yang meski mengangkat tema kelompok-kelompok marginal seperti para penderita Sindrom Tourette. Pihak Elemental mengaburkan fokus khalayak pada aktor (subjek) yang bertanggungjawab dalam peristiwa permaginalan terhadap penderita Sindrom Tourette yang berada di desa Tengkulak, Provinsi Bali daripada sisi yang ingin menonjolkan para aktor (subjek) kepada khalayak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pihak Elemental Production sebagai pihak yang lebih dominan menutupi aktor yang seharusnya bertanggungjawab. This study aims to describe the process of exclusion and inclusion in the dialogue text of The Bird Dancer using Theo Van Leeuwen's Critical Discourse Analysis approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and the main data source in this study is the documentary film The Bird Dancer by Elemental Production. The research data were obtained from the results of the transcription of the film The Bird Dancer which were classified based on the exclusion strategy and the inclusion strategy. The results showed that there were a total of 53 data consisting of exclusion strategies found 23 data consisting of 17 passivation data (passivation prefix di- without actor 9 data, passivation prefix di- with actor 2 data, passivation prefix ter- with actor 1 data, confix passivation is done without actor 4 data, confix is ​​given without actor 2 data, confix passivation is di-i without actor 1 data) and 6 data nominalization (addition of message 2 data, pen-. ..-an 1 data, per-...-an 1 data and peng-...an 2 data). Whereas in the inclusion strategy, 30 data were found consisting of nomination - categorization 3 data categorization, objectivation - abstraction 2 data abstraction and 25 data determination - indetermination (2 data determination and 23 data indetermination). Through this film, it can be seen that Elemental Production is a Production House (PH) which, although the theme is marginalized groups such as sufferers of Tourette's Syndrome. The Elemental side obscures the focus of the audience on the actors (subjects) who are responsible for the game events against Tourette's Syndrome sufferers who are in the village of Tengkulak, Bali Province rather than the side that wants to highlight the actors (subjects) to the public. So it can be concluded that Elemental Production as the party that is more dominant covers the actor who should be responsible.
