Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pembingkaian berita konflik Indonesia-West Papua yang dilakukan Detik.com dan Asia Pacific Report.nz melalui model analisis framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Dimana data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang berasal dari wacana berita konflik Indonesia-West Papua periode Desember 2022 dengan dua sub�topik mengenai peringatan hari kemerdekaan West Papua 1 Desember dan penyelidikan kembali kasus Paniai 2014 lalu. Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan empat perangkat struktural analisis framing Pan dan Kosicki terkait pemberitaan konflik Indonesia-west Papua periode bulan Desember 2021 di media online Detik.com dan Asia Pacific Report.nz. Pada struktur sintaksis, Detik.com ditemukan hanya mengambil pernyataan dari tokoh-tokoh terkait pemerintahan Indonesia tanpa mengambil pernyataan dari pihak west Papua. Sementara Asia Pacific Report.nz walaupun mengambil pernyataan dari berbagai golongan, pernyataan dari tokoh�tokoh Indonesia dipilih sesuai dengan topik berita yang ingin diangkat Asia Pacific Report.nz. Pada struktur skrip, kedua media tersebut ditemukan telah menghilangkan beberapa unsur dari unsur 5W+1H. Pada struktur tematik, dalam penulisan pernyataan sendiri kedua media juga mencantumkan kutipan pernyataan narasumber untuk memperkuat pernyataannya. Pada struktur retoris, Detik.com hanya menggunakan foto dan cuplikan video yang diletakkan setelah headline dalam beritanya. Sementara Asia Pacific Report.nz banyak menggunakan kata, idiom, gambar dan cuplikan video dalam beritanya. Dari hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa headline dan lead dari Detik.com dan Asia Pacific Report.nz sudah dapat menggambarkan keseluruhan isi beritanya. Baik itu Detik.com maupun Asia Pacific Report.nz memiliki kecenderungan masing-masing. Detik.com secara tersirat lebih berpihak pada Indonesia sementara Asia Pacific Report secara tersurat berpihak pada West Papua. Selanjutnya, kedua media ditemukan tidak memenuhi unsur kelengkapan berita. Kemudian, kedua media ditemukan cukup dapat mendeskripsikan dengan baik beritanya. Terakhir, dalam menggunakan kata dan gambar Asia Pacific Report.nz lebih tajam dibandingkan dengan Detik.com. This study aims to determine the pattern of conflict news framing Indonesia-West Papua conducted by Detik.com and Asia Pacific Report.nz via Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis model. This research carried out using a qualitative approach that is descriptive. Where the data in this study are words, phrases, and sentences that come from news discourse on the Indonesia-West Papua conflict for the December 2022 period with two sub-topics regarding the commemoration of West Papua's independence day December 1 and re-investigation of the 2014 Paniai case. The results of this study are based on four structural tools of Pan and Kosicki's framing analysis related to conflict reporting Indonesia-west Papua for December 2021 in online media Detik.com and Asia Pacific Report.nz. On the syntactic structure, Detik.com is found only take statements from figures related to the Indonesian government without took a statement from West Papua. While Asia Pacific Report.nz although taking statements from various groups, statements from Indonesian figures were chosen according to the news topics that Asia Pacific wanted to cover Report.nz. In the script structure, both media were found to have been omitted some elements of the 5W+1H elements. On the thematic structure, in writing the media's own statements also include quotes from sources to strengthen his statement. On the rhetorical structure, Detik.com only using photos and video footage that is placed after the headline in the news. While Asia Pacific Report.nz uses many words, idioms, pictures and video clips in the news. From the results of the study, it was concluded that Headlines and leads from Detik.com and Asia Pacific Report.nz have been received describe the whole story. Be it Detik.com or Asia Pacific Report.nz has its own tendencies. Detik.com is implicitly more sided with Indonesia while the Asia Pacific Report explicitly sided with Indonesia West Papua. Furthermore, both media were found not to meet the elements complete news. Then, both media were found to be sufficiently descriptive good news. Finally, in using Asia Pacific words and pictures Report.nz is sharper than detik.com.
