Abstract
ABSTRAK Tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki tingkat permintaan pasar yang tinggi. Budidaya tanaman ini berpotensi untuk dikembangkan pada Ultisol dengan mengatasi kendala utama Ultisol yaitu tingkat kesuburan yang rendah. Pemberian hara dalam bentuk organik atau anorganik sangat membantu dalam perbaikan Ultisol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlajari pemanfaatan pupuk buatan, pupuk kandang ayam dan abu boiler dalam memperbaiki pH, C-tersedia dan P-tersedia serta peningkatan produksi cabai merah. Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi dari bulan Juni sampai November 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan jumlah perlakuan 9 taraf yang diulang 3 kali. Taraf perlakuan adalah A0 Tanpa pupuk (kontrol), A1 (R), A2 (1/2 R + 5 ton/ha PKA), A3 (1/2 R + 10 ton/ha PKA), A4 (1/2 R + 5 ton/ha PKA + 5 ton/ha Abu Boiler), A5 (1/2 R + 10 ton/ha Abu Boiler), A6 (5 ton/ha PKA + 5 ton/ha Abu Boiler), A7 (5 ton/ha PKA + 10 ton/ha Abu Boiler) dan A8 (10 ton/ha PKA + 10 ton/ha Abu Boiler). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ½ rekomendasi + 10 ton/ha Abu Boiler mampu ningkatkan pH dan C-organik, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan P-tersedia. Pemberian 1/2 rekomendasi pupuk buatan + 10 ton pupuk kandang ayam memberikan hasil panen tertinggi dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. Kata kunci : Ultisol, pupuk kandang ayam, abu boiler, pupuk buatan, P-tersedia, C-organik dan pH ABSTRACT Red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a type of horticultural plant that has a high level of market demand. Cultivation of this plant has the potential to be developed on Ultisols by overcoming the main obstacle of Ultisols, namely the low fertility rate. Providing nutrients in organic or inorganic forms is very helpful in repairing Ultisols. This study aims to study the use of artificial fertilizers, chicken manure and boiler ash in improving pH, organic C and available P and increasing red chili production. The experiment was conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi from June to November 2021. The experiment was designed in completely randomized design having 9 levels of treatment with 3 replication. The first treatment is A0 (control), A1 (100% recommendation), A2 (1/2 R + 5 ton/ha Chicken Manure), A3 (1/2 R + 10 ton/ha Chicken Manure), A4 (1/2 R + 5 ton/ha Chicken Manure + 5 ton/ha Boiler Ash), A5 (1/2 R + 10 ton/ha Boiler Ash), A6 (5 ton/ha Chicken Manure + 5 ton/ha Boiler Ash), A7 (5 ton/ha Chicken Manure + 10 ton/ha Boiler Ash) dan A8 (10 ton/ha Chicken Manure + 10 ton/ha Boiler Ash). The result showed that 1/2 recommendation + 10 ton/ha Boiler Ash can improve some pH and organic C, and had no significant effect on available P. Application 1/2 recommendation + 10 ton/ha Chicken Manure gave the highest yield and had no significant effect on plant height.
