Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health socialization on diarrhea prevention on Handwashing with Soap behavior in Grade 3 Students of As'ad Jambi Islamic Boarding School in 2022. In addition, this study also aims to describe the behavior of washing hands with soap before and after being given health socialization on prevention of diarrhea in grade 3 students at the As'ad Jambi Islamic Boarding School in 2022. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The form of the research design used is the Posttest Only Control Design. Data collection techniques in research were carried out through interviews, observation, and tests. Data analysis techniques were carried out by Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test with the P-Value of the Paired Sample t-Test test being 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is an influence of health socialization about preventing diarrhea on the behavior of washing hands with soap in grade 3 students at the As'ad Islamic Boarding School, Jambi. Provision of dissemination of prevention of diarrhea by providing good encouragement and education to students so that they are able to change hand washing behavior which was initially wrong and became correct as a prevention of diarrhea. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sosialisasi kesehatan tentang pencegahan diare terhadap perilaku Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun pada Siswa kelas 3 Pondok Pesantren As’ad Jambi tahun 2022. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun sebelum dan sesudah diberikan sosialisasi kesehatan tentang pencegahan diare pada siswa kelas 3 Pondok Pesantren As’ad Jambi tahun 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Eksperimen Semu atau Quasi Experimental. Bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Posttest Only Kontrol Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, dan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test dengan nilai P-Value uji Paired Sample t-Test adalah 0,000<0,05. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh sosialisasi kesehatan tentang pencengahan diare terhadap perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun pada siswa kelas 3 Pondok Pesantren As’ad Jambi. Pemberian sosialisasi pencegahan diare dengan memberikan dorongan dan edukasi yang baik pada siswa sehingga mampu merubah perilaku cuci tangan yang awalnya salah dan menjadi benar sebagai pencegahan diare.
