Abstract
Lestari, Maya. 2022. The Use of Google Classroom in Online Learning during The Covid-19 Pandemic: Students' Perception. Jambi: Universitas Jambi. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Jambi in Academic Year 2022/2023. The first supervisor is Dra. Armiwati, M.Hum. The second supervisor Indri Anastasia, S.S., Ma. This research is quantitative research about the students’ perception on the use of google classroom in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Google Classroom is one of the tools that the teacher can use to help the online learning process during the pandemic. The features of Google Classroom include the ability to organize online courses, invite students to join them, share details about the teaching-learning process, offer teaching resources, and more. For both inside and outside of the classroom communication, Google Classroom makes it simple for students and teachers to stay in touch. The data of this study were gathered by using a questionnaire. The purpose of this study is to find out the students' perception on the use of Google Classroom in online learning during Covid-19 pandemic. The respondents were the 12th grade of Senior high school 1 Muaro Jambi which consisted of 106 students. The respondents of this study came from four classes, two science classes students and two social classes students. Based on the total mean score of the questionnaire, the result of this study is 50.63, which is a high score compared to the maximum score of 72. Besides, this study also divided three parts of the findings consist of: The efficiency of using Google Classroom (Mean: 3.06), improving learning ability (Mean: 2.89) and students’ preference (Mean: 1.97). The total score (50.63) of the mean indicated that students have positive perception on the use of Google Classroom in online learning during Covid-19 pandemic and there are so many advantages of the Google Classroom to help students do the online learning.
